The “Iron Claw Mesa” cocktail table consists of a thick walnut solid slab of with natural bark edging. The holes created by nature are not filled. A steel plate base and “box” supports the overall weight of the wood slab on top, while 3⁄4” steel tube, u-shaped brackets add additional perimeter support and resting arms for the 3⁄4” glass top with frosted edge detailing. This conforms to the irregular shape of the table top. All steel components are painted a satin black to add a contemporary industrial look to the table. The walnut slab was selected from the nearby Northwest Arkansas hillsides.
